Leslie Ben-Iesau was last seen on April 15, 2022.
That morning, Leslie had texted her sister Caroline to say she was heading off for a date with a woman named Bea, whom she’d met on the dating site OkCupid.
She’d arranged to meet the woman near the Capitol building in Sacramento, and told Caroline that her date was on the way to pick her up. Leslie said she’d text her sister to let her know she was safe.
But when Caroline texted back, she could tell that the messages weren’t going through.
Leslie turned 42 the Saturday after she vanished, and it was unlike her not to celebrate with family.
Surveillance video surfaced Friday, showing Leslie outside the Orchid Thai Restaurant and Bar in Sacramento. She was then seen walking up 16th Street toward the University Beer bar.
She was last active on her phone at 8:45 a.m. on April 15.
Leslie was last seen wearing ripped jeans, a t-shirt and a unique brown leather backpack. She has distinctive tattoos on her left arm.
